Ooni of Ife Takes New Wife
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has gotten a new wife. This was revealed in a video uploaded by Moses Olafare, the Director of Media and Publicity to Ooni.
The new wife this time is said to be an oil and gas executive named Mariam Anako. According to reports, arrangements started in March when Ooni sent a high powered delegation to her family to request for her hand in marriage.
This is coming after the collapse of his union with Silekunola Naomi in December 2021.
ABOUT THE NEW QUEEN
Mariam Anako is from the Ebira ethnic group in Kogi State. Anako’s parents are based in Ilorin. Mariam lost her dad at a young age and was brought up in the home of the former IGP Mohammed Dikko Abubakar who reigned as the boss of the Nigerian Police between (2012 to 2014). MD Abubakar as he is known, is the in-law of Africa’s wealthiest man—Alhaji Aliko Dangote. The Ooni’s new mother-in-law is a retired police officer.
