   N40k for aso ebi?…I feel its an avenue used to reduce attendance. Instead of taking the wedding abroad, make the aso ebi expensive and only the important (rich) people will attend. By the way, if I don’t wear the Aso Ebi of a wedding mean that I will be disallowed from attending the wedding? This aso ebi thing is just ludicrious and totally absurd. Enough already! In no time, aso ebi will be a N1 Million.

   I think the original concept of Asoebi has been trivialised. It used to be a family thing but has now extended to even strangers wishing to wear it for the sake of uniformity. It’ll take someone who hasn’t taken time to build self esteem to a good degree that’ll think you might be offending the celebrant not wearing her ‘Asoebi’. I just believe choices most especially by our beloved ladies ought to be made wisely. Don’t trade birthright for Asoebi ooo… My thought…

   Asoebi no b by force. Don’t buy if u don’t have d money, coz u don’t need d holyghost to make u understand is a big business nowadays! God help us all. My marriage no Asoebi so if u give me I no go buy. Thank u

   A friend deleted me and four of her friends on bbm and also on Facebook just bcos we didn’t buy d asoebi she sold for 35k. I’m sure if we had bought d cloth and not attended d wedding,she wouldn’t had bothered at all. what we fail to know is that presence matters more than asoebi.
