Bauchi Gov Sacks Women Affairs Commissioner
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has relieved Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko of her position as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development.
The directive, which takes immediate effect, was announced on Sunday in a statement signed by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado who described the move as a minor adjustment to the composition of the State Executive Council.
Although no reason was given for her removal, Governor Mohammed commended Hajiya Takko for her service to the state and wished her success in her future endeavours.Takko was sworn in as commissioner on September 9, 2024. Before her elevation to the council, she served as caretaker chairperson of Bauchi Local Government Area, following her appointment by the governor in July 2023.
