Awujale of Ijebu land To Be Buried Today

The Ogun State Government has announced the burial rites for the late Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.

The burial will take place today at Ogbagba Court, Igbeba, Ijebu-ode, Ogun State, at exactly 4 pm.

The monarch died on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of 91.

Meanwhile, leadership of markets across Ijebu-Ode have directed all markets and shops to remain shut today,  to mourn the passing of the Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
