EFCC Arrests 17 Suspected “Yahoo Boy” In Benin
Seventeen suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
EFCC made this known in a series of tweets on Monday.
The anti-graft agency said the suspects were arrested at their hideout in Benin City, Edo State, following actionable intelligence received by the Commission.
They were identified as ”Arebu Julius, Ebiechuwa Victory Ovie, John Uwague, Edward Asuelimhen, Onyeka Sunday, Omorefe Osazee, Kelvin Emmanuel, Osamuliamen Maxwell, Osrmudiamen Aganjele, Godday Osaretin, and Osayande Osariemen.
Others are Destiny Enobokhare, Daniel Collins, Collins Edobor, Chukwuemeka Johnson, Omofuma Godpower, and Progress Edoagu.
Phones, laptops, and seven vehicles of different brands were different from them at the point of their arrest.
EFCC added that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
