Oscar 2022: Will Smith Punches Chris Rock For Joking About His Wife, Jada

American actor, Will Smith, on Sunday, slapped Comedian Chris Rock for making jokes about his wife at the Oscars award.

Chris Rock, had while presenting the award for best documentary, said “Jada I love you, ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ can’t wait to see it.”

Pinkett Smith, who did not find the joke funny as she has been battling Alopecia, an autoimmune disorder that leads to hair loss, rolled her eyes. Shortly after, Will Smith walked up to the stage and slapped Rock after which he walked back to his seat.

“Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth!” he yelled.

Rock responded: “Oh, wow. I’m going to.”

Meanwhile, Smith won best actor in a leading role in the movie, ‘King Richard’.

While accepting the award, he apologized to the Academy and his fellow nominees for the incident.
