National Flag Designer, Pa Akinkunmi To Earn Life Salary
National honours were on Monday conferred on 313 Nigerians and friends of the country. One of the highlights of the event was when Jonathan directed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, to place designer of the national flag, Pa Akinkunmi on life salary. His son who represented him at the event thanked the President for the gesture.
He said he would eternally remain grateful to Jonathan because he had been neglected in the past.
“Baba is very happy. We thank President Jonathan for this gesture. We are indeed appreciative of this because you all know that Baba has been neglected in the past. I am sure that this honour will spur Nigerians to continue to contribute to the development of the country,’’ his son said.
