Gunmen Abduct Wife, Daughter Of Iyare Motors’ CEO In Benin

The Police Command in Edo State yesterday confirmed the abduction of the wife and daughter of a transport magnate, Abel Omoruyi, in Benin City, capital of the state.

Omoruyi is the Chief Executive Officer of Iyare Motors.

Spokesman of the police command, DSP Moses Eguavoen who confirmed the incident in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said the victims were kidnapped by gun wielding men.

He said that the police had received the complaint and had swung into action to release the victims.

“We are doing everything to rescue the victims unhurt and to arrest the perpetrators,” he said, adding that all black spots had been put under surveillance to block possible escape routes.
