47-Year-Old Man Gets N300,000 Bail Over Alleged Rape Of 4-Yr-Old

A 47-year-old man, Orire Agidiogun, who allegedly raped a four-year-old child, yesterday, was slammed a bail of N300, 000 by an Apapa Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos

In addition, the Chief Magistrate, Mrs Oluyemisi Adelaja, ordered that the accused should produce two sureties, who must show evidence of tax payment to Lagos State Government.

The accused who pleaded not guilty was said to have committed the offences at 10.00 p.m. on October 8 at his apartment. The accused was caught when the mother heard her daughter’s cry and she quickly alerted people around, who helped to apprehend him. The woman later reported the case to the police. The accused, if convicted, may be sentenced to life imprisonment.

The case was adjourned to November 14.
