CHARITY LOUNGE TURNS SIX: FRONTLINES FIGHT FOR SOCIAL GOOD
Come September 18 2013, the fight for Social Good in Lagos would record another win at the 6th Edition of Charity Lounge International. The event will be spearheaded by advocates for Social Innovations, Creative Entrepreneurship and Children Living with Cancer in Lagos.
The Benefit Event is expected to hold at the British Council, and it is aimed at raising awareness and funds for social good initiatives in Lagos and over 66 community trend setters are expected in attendance. The Unveiling of Inductees into the Elite Hall of Humanitarian Fame of Six Individuals, Initiatives & Institutions would be conferred by a renowned Philanthropist. This is aimed at appreciating individuals/institutions in different pillars of charity for their efforts towards the realization of Individual Social Responsibility.
The Creative Entrepreneur Association of Nigeria Powered event would be hosted by the most sought after Social Good Expert, Uwaoma Eizu, CEO Hexavia, Who would later be joined by the Idibia’s Family, an Alumni of the Elite Humanitarian Hall of Fame, Innocent Idibia for the special cancer children projects auction through the cutting of his ‘social good’ birthday cake, where attendees are expected to make their bids to launch the Social Innovators Fund for the United Nations Social Good Summit.
This event will also host the Inaugural Launch of the United Nations Volunteers Youth for Africa (UNVYA) and celebration of Ovation’s International Publication, tagged “The Giant Leap of Charity Lounge”, Charity lounge in its sixth quarterly edition would be celebrating six years of its parent company Creative Five World impact by thanking its community of supporters who have been instrumental in their growth and achievements over the last six years.
Speaking on the upcoming event, Adejoke Abereifa, the Chief Scribe, stated that “Charity Lounge has been and will continue to be an advocate of change; an avenue to sensitize on the importance of Individual Social Responsibility (ISR) at the lower scope, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the higher scope. The event seeks corporations, individuals& media sponsorship and would attract the crème of the community with official theme color to be Blue & African.
