Lionel Messi and His Dad Accused Of Tax Fraud In Spain
Popular Barcelona and Argentina star, Lionel Messi has been accused of trying to conceal the extent of his real earnings and that he owes 4million euros ($5.3 million) in taxes.
The complaint was lodged by a Spanish Prosecutor for the northeastern region of Catalonia. Messi and his father are accused of allegedly defrauding more than 4 million euros in income tax return for the year 2007, 2008 and 2009. If Messi is found guilty of evading tax on his image right, he could be liable to a fine amounting to 150 percent of his earnings concealed.
