FG TO BAN POSTINOR-2: RELEVANT OR IRRELEVANT?
There are indications that the Federal Government will place a ban on Postinor-2 popularly known as the morning after pill.
Postinor is an emergency contraceptive used to prevent pregnancy within 24hrs after unprotected sexual intercourse.
Though as advantageous as it could be in avoiding unwanted pregnancy and unplanned family life, it has its side effects. However, the speculation on the ban is not totally strange as some pharmacies would not sell it to any strange face in their market areas.
The point is that should the use of postinor-2 be in an agenda to the apex government especially now that people are conscious of birth control? I think there are more stringent issues that the FG should worry about. Or could this ban be a measure to increase the teaming population of suffering infants and unplanned families in our country?
