FG REVOKES WALE BABALAKIN’S COMPANY BI-COURTNEY LAGOS – IBADAN EXPRESSWAY CONTRACT

The FG has terminated the contract it entered into with Wale Babalakin”s BiCourtney for the concession and reconstruction of the Lagos Ibadan Expressway.

According to the Minister of works,the contract entered into in May 2009 was terminated due to the company’s inability to handle a job of such magnitude. Subsequently, the contract has been re awarded to Julius Berger and RCC. Julius Berger will handle the phase one of the project from Lagos to Sagamu exchange while RCC has been awarded the contract from Sagamu exchange to the ancient city of Ibadan..
