INDOMIE UNVEILS THREE HEROES

Indomie Instant Noodles from the stable of
Dufil Prima Foods Plc has produced three outstanding Nigerian children for the
Indomie 5th Independent Day Award. The children were honoured and presented with crystal plaques for their heroic actions.   

15 years old Olufunmilyo Bello, an orphan in Benin City won the first prize of N1,000,000.00 for her big heart towards humanity in picking up an abandoned baby boy with hydrocephalus syndrome in Benin Mot.  

Second prize of N750, 000.00  was awarded to 15 years old George Sadoh from Warri, for his act of bravery and heroism in shooting a ‘knockout’ to save a man’s life from his attackers and later took the victim to the hospital. While 10 years old Princess Esan won the third prize of N500, 000.00 for her act of bravery to save the life of her younger brother and herself from an inferno that gutted their house.  

Speaking at the event, Mr. Deepak Singhal, Managing Director, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, noted that “the award is a reflection of the importance and belief of the company in the extraordinary qualities of the Nigerian child which must never be ignored but must be celebrated”.  

“We are all extremely proud of these three children, we feel connected to them and we are inspired by them and their sacrifices. From their act of sacrifice, we have our hope renewed – hope in those qualities that binds us as humans”, he said.
