EDO STATE GOV UNFOLDS FUNERAL DETAILS FOR SLAIN AIDE

The burial details for the slain Private Secretary to the Edo State Governor, Olaitan Oyerinde were yesterday released by the family and the Government of Edo State. The programme is as follows:

Service of songs(in Benin) on Wednesday 9th May 2012;
Funeral service and interment, Thursday 10th May 2012 in Ede, State of Osun.
And also yesterday, comrades who served with Olaitan in the student and Left movements met in Abuja. At the meeting it was resolved that:

1.The Abuja Collective attends the funeral service in Ede, state of Osun. Departures begin Wednesday/early Thursday;
2. 30th May 2012 was tentatively slated for ‘Day of tributes and memories’ and in honour of our comrade, Olaitan Oyerinde. This event will take place in Abuja.
Finally, comrades around the country, particularly in the southwest are urged to attend the funeral to pay their respects to the departed activist.
