Boko Haram Threatens To Kill President Within 3 Months

The Jama’atu Ahl-Sunnati Lil Da’awati Wal Jihad better known as the Boko Haram on Thursday posted a new video on the internet in which it threatened to deal with President Goodluck Jonathan.

The video which was posted on Youtube ran for 14 minutes and 12 seconds, leader of the sect, Malam Abubakar Shekau was seen sitting in the middle of four hooded bodyguards. While the hooded men clutched AK-47 rifles, Shekau had one in front of him as he read his message which had been prepared on some pages of paper. Another assault rifle rested on the wall behind him.

The first 7 minutes of the video saw Shekau delivering his speech in Arabic while he delivered the second part in Hausa language. In the opening part, the sect leader promised to destroy Christians, especially those killing Muslims while all Muslims aiding government forces to arrest and intimidate their members would not be spared.

Malam Abubakar Shekau said Nigeria’s security agents were incapable of ending the sect’s scourge in June as proposed by the President.

“You Jonathan cannot stop us as you boasted, instead we will devour you in the three months like you are boasting. If death is your worldly gain, for us, it is eternal victory to die working for Allah. Our joy is to die in Jihad for Allah against infidels like you.  We are also aware of some Muslims using our name to make money, we will say nothing but let them continue, and they will meet Allah in the last day. We are not doing physical human service, but Allah’s work and it is clear your aim is killing us. Let me tell you with Allah we will triumph over you and your men in hundreds. We are not boasting rather we are keeping quiet and working for Allah” , Shekau said.

Speaking further, Malam Shekau said “Allah that finished Pharaoh and other wicked rulers that you are not even up to them, will finish you and end your government. We are not afraid because we are not doing man work but Allah’s work. And we will see who will carry the day.”
