2 BRIDES AND A BABY: This movie was produced by Blessing Effiong and it won best movie award in Best Of Nollywood Awards 2011. 2 brides and a baby had 12 nominations and won 5 awards in 2011. The movie at the cinemas made about 12Million Naira. 2 brides and a baby did not just win and was a box office success but also gave a chance for new faces to display their talent. The movie is still showing at cinemas and will be released on DVD later this year

I’LL TAKE MY CHANCES: This excellent movie was directed by one of Nigeria’s prolific actors and directors Desmond Elliot and co-produced by the most creative and very talented movie producer Emem Isong. According to Ini Edo, ‘ the movie is a real departure from the frequent seen story line in the movie industry as the content, style and philosophy behind it distinguishes it from the most of the scripts churned out daily by Nollywood directors and producers alike.’ I’ll take my chance is a dance movie movie that is centred on love and the challenges faced in its pusuit by its two principal characters. The movie stars Jide Kosoko, Ini Edo, Late Sam Loco Efe and Brian Okwarra among others.

THE RETURN OF JENIFA: The return of Jenifa was in the cinemas last year and it did quite well. The movie is from the stable of SceneOne Production and has grossed over 28Million at the box office. The return of Jenifa stars Funke Akindele, Eniola Badmus, Ireti Bakare and a couple others. The DVD will be released in Febuary this year.

PHONE SWAP: Phone swap is about two individuals Akin and Mary who accidently bumped into each other at the airport and mistakenly swop their identical blackberry phones. This leads to a real mix-up and leads them into walking in each other’s shoes. The movie is the latest from Golden Effect after FIGURINE which won 17 awards in 2 years and was released late December.

Starring Paul Apel, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassy, Bimbo Akintola 90ninth day had five nominations at the 2011 Best Of Nollywood Awards and also won several awards at the Homevida Awards held in December 2011. 90ninth day will hit the big screen on Feb 13.
